The precision and visual poetry of Complicite's production of The Street of Crocodiles knocked Dublin audiences for six when they visited the festival in 1994. This year the company makes its long-awaited return with a brand new show, visiting Dublin prior to opening at the Almeida Theatre in London.

Light is a peasant fable set in a small village, where only six people have survived a plague. No one remains who knows how things are supposed to be or what is right and what is wrong. The values of civilisation and barbarity balance on a knife-edge. Then a stranger arrives from the south and puts this tiny society on trial. Light is a parable of humanity's struggle for redemption.

Over the past 17 years, Theatre de Complicite has toured to over 180 cities with over 28 productions and has won more than 25 international awards.
