The Festival is delighted to welcome one of the most innovative and exhilarating theatre companies in the world, Kneehigh, to Dublin. A company famed for producing world-dominating theatrical spectacle from its base in Cornwall, Kneehigh has been presenting dark yet magical renderings of well known fairy tales for the last thirty years.

The Wild Bride is the tale of what happens when a man accidentally sells his daughter to the devil.  Betrayed by her witless father and rejecting the devil, she meets her prince. Fortune changes again as the war starts, and she is left alone in the wilderness to embark on an enchanted and epic voyage of discovery, healing and hope.

An irreverent romance for all ages, this is a lyrical story with a brutal edge and a beating heart. Reuniting the creative team behind the worldwide smash-hit The Red Shoes and after astounding audiences in Broadway with the Tony Award-nominated Brief Encounter, this is a brand new show not to be missed. Expect instinctive storytelling and devilish humour laced with a heady mix of live blues music.

Note this show is suitable for all the family! Recommended age ten and upwards
