In New York of the 1920s and 30s, The Cotton Club attracted the cream of New York society to its glittering revues, featuring a bevy of beautiful dabcers, amid the plush surroundings of New York's most famous night-club. Bank-rolled by British born gangster Owney Madden, its floorshows were lavish, fast paces and glamorous, and headline acts of the time rushed to preform there -  among them Louis Armstrong, Maxine Sullivan, Ethel Waters, The Berry Brothers and Duke Ellington.

The glamour, exuberance adn hedonism that was Harlem's Cotton Club of the 1930s comes alive this festival  with A Night At The Cotton Club - a blend of vintage jazz, showbiz and history.

the Jiving Lindy Hoppers perform authentic dances that evolved from many jazz styles and specialise in the Lindy Hop, the crowning glory of black Vaudeville dance. Harry Strutters' Hot Rhythm Orchestra plays the jazz and hot music of the 1920s Manhattan club scene.

Zoot suits, conks adn sheer silk stockings abound in this furiously paced, all -action evocation of the jazz age.
