A first ever collaboration between theatrical writer Tom MacIntyre and choereographer John Scott of Irish Modern Dance Theatre. Body and voice speak in this witty, moving and totally original fusion of dance and theatre.

The sotry for You Must Tell the Bees grew from Tom MacIntyre's poem Widda published in his collection of poems "A Glance will Tell You and a Dream Confirm."

Poet and playwright Tom McIntyre has had many plays performed by the Abbey Theatre, most notably The Great Hunger and Good Evening, Mt Collins. He is also a member of Aosdana.

Irish Modern Dance Theatre was founded by John Scott in 1991 and, since then, has created twelve new works. The company is noted for innovation, fusing dance with theatre, music, literature and the visual arts. Shows are memorable for a striking use of props, lighting and costume and are described as bursting with visual mania. Lively and eclectic, past shows have featured everything from classical ballet to dancers in boots and disco-dancing on the spot. Panes of glass, metal cylinders and buckets rescued from skips have become SCott's staging trademarks. Previous works include Ruby Red, Macalla, Perfect State and SLAM.
