From As you Like It to The Winter's Tale, the Festival's history with Shakespeare has always been a happy one. This year we bring, direct from the Edinburgh International Festival, a strongly spiced and sensual mixture of power, purity and corruption.

Angelo, a politician of double standards, enforces old moralistic laws whilst trying to lure the innocent Isabella to his bed.

Director Stéphane Braunschweig, one of the most exciting talents to have emerged in Europe in recent years, brings a stylish meditation on sex, politics and society to Dublin, the first stop on a major world tour.

"Braunschweig sees the play with marvellous freshness....this production demands to be seen." The Herald (UK)
