It is the wedding night in the palace of King Shahrrajar. By morning, the new Queen Sharazad will be put to death, like a thousand brides before her. But she has one gift that could save her life - the gift of storytelling. This wildly inventive new adaptation breathes new theatrical magic into the age-old legends of the 1,001 nights. Audiences young and old will delight in the ingenuity of the nine-strong cast as they bring this tapestry of tales - of Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves, Sinbad the Sailor, and others - to life.

London's Young Vic has emerged as Britain's leader in theatre for families in recent years with their highly inventive and theatrical adaptations. "The Young Viv has smashed the artificial barrier that separates adult and children's theatre." (The Guardian)

"It's a show that rediscovers the imaginative power of live theatre"
- The Express
