The old house in Carrickmines may or may not be haunted by Annie Ross. Larry's sure it's not - so sure that he's organised a charity sleepover there. His wife Helen is not so confident; Colm, the local schoolmaster, is willing to be convinced; but young Aisling has no doubts - for very good reasons. And William, the old caretaker, knows a lot more than he lets on.

Returning to the Gate after his award-winning Stella by Starlight for the 1995 Dublin Theatre Festival, Bernard Farrell has created a mysterious, hilarious world from which thre is no escape, where characters are forced to explore their own personal hauntings as they unravel the ghostly past of Annie Ross.

The Spirit of Annie Ross is Farrells eighth collaboration with director Ben Barnes, who directed the hugely successful Stella by Starlight.
