Fionnuala Gill

Rough Magic: debut.

Fionnuala Gill began singing at the age of eight as a member of the Young Lindsay Singers under Ethna Barror. She then went on to study at the College of Music and was a frequent prizewinner at the Feis Ceoil in Dublin.

A founding member of internationally renowned choral group, Anúna, Fionnuala holds a Masters in Vocal Performance from the RSAMD in Glasgow and made her operatic debut with Opera Theatre Company in 1992.

She has toured the US, UK and Europe as lead vocalist with Riverdance and has also worked extensively as vocalist and harpist with Norwegian group Secret Garden. Fionnuala's first solo album Whispers of Love, released in July 2008, has received huge critical acclaim internationally.

She has recently been collaborating with Davey Arthur and following an intensive period of recording and touring in the US over the last few months, their album Common Ground is due for release later this year.
