Raymond Keane

Raymond is a founding member of Barabbas...the company and is currently Artistic Director. He has devised and/or appeared in all the company's works to date which include Come Down From The Mountain John Clown John Clown, Macbeth, Half Eight Mass Of A Tuesday, Sick Dying Dead Buried Out, Out The Back Door, The Whiteheaded Boy, God's Gift and Nightmare on Essex Street.

For Barabbas he has directed Strokehauling, Barabbas...the CUBE, Hupnouse, Temple of Clown and wrote and directed Dog. He also directed Pam Ella for Noggin Theatre Company, Some Kind Of Beautiful for Dublin Youth Theatre and co-wrote and directed Annabells Star for Young at Art Festival Belfast and The Ark.

He has worked for several years in television as a writer/actor/puppeteer on programmes including Pajo's Junkbox, The Whole Shebang, Pajo and the Salty Frog, Pajo and the Salty Frog in Space, Scratch Saturday, J.M.T.V., The Morbegs, Nighthawks, The Basement and Fair City.

In film he appears in The Boy From Mercury, St. Patrick, The Last Mango in Dublin, Too Many Sandwiches, Déjà vu, Ulysses and Sweety Barrett. In 2003 Raymond directs HURL for Barabbas which plays at both Galway Arts Festival and Dublin Theatre Festival and Donal Kelly's The Hand which tours to Vilar Theatre Festival, Colorado.
