Zsolt Nagy

Zsolt Nagy was a member of the Jókai Theatre in Békéscsaba for two years before training at the Hungarian Academy of Drama and Film, Budapest. He joined Krétakör Színház upon graduating in 2000. Before joining Krétakör his roles included the Boy (Good Evening Summer, Good Evening Love), Napoleon (Headmen’s Holiday, dir: Tamás Ascher), for which he received the Comet Award of the leading Hungarian newspaper, Népszabadság).
For Krétakör his roles have included Eckhart in Brecht’s Baal, Woyzeck (W —Workers’ Circus), the title role in Liliom, President (Leonce and Lena), Siegfried (The Nibelung Residency), Merkel Franz (Kasimir and Caroline), Dovre (Peer Gynt) Lapin (The Ice) himself (BLACKland), Treplev in The Seagull and is one of the three actors performing hamlet.ws (based on Shakespeare’s Hamlet) directed by Árpád Schilling.
He is one of the most popular young film actors in Hungary, his credits include a leading role in Antal Nimród’s acclaimed Control , in Philip Grandrieaux’ La vie nouvelle orFerenc Török’s Szezon. Recently he is to be seen in Overnight (dir. Ferenc Török) and Zuhanórepülés (dir. Erik Novák.)
