Kate Lush

Fresh from a year's training with Teatr Piesn Kozla (Song of the Goat) in Poland, Kate brings to Some Girls a passion for creating original theatre and a belief that anything is possible.

Kate embarked on a search for alternative ways to develop theatre while completing a BA in Performing Arts at the University of Hertfordshire. This search has led her to collaborating with many devising and ensemble-based theatre companies both in Britain and abroad, including Horla, Pants on Fire (formally Blue inc.), Cota and C Theatre.

During her studies, she took the solo show Adult Child/Dead Child by Claire Dowie to Edinburgh, where she was nominated for the stage award for Acting Excellence.

In September, Kate trades in The Smiths' songs for Homeric hymns as she and five other performers head to the south of France to start work on their new production based on The Illiad.
