Guy Williams

Guy Williams worked with Edward Hall on his first Watermill production, Othello. He was trained at LAMDA and has worked in Nairobi, Stockholm, Vienna, Salisbury, Basingstoke and Leicester. He joined The Royal National Theatre to play Haemon in Antigone and appeared in Venice Preserved, Coriolanus, Pravda, The Government Inspector and King Lear.

He played Timon in Timon Of Athens in a joint production with the National Theatre Studio and The Leicester Haymarket. He has also worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Young Vic and most recently for the German Street Theatre in Sick Dictators.

TV and films include Happy Valley, Civvies, The Chief, Thin Ice and The Changeling. In his most recent film To Walk with Lions, he was cast as a game warden when he turned up to the audition with two pygmy hippos he happened to be taking from Nairobi to Nanyuki in Kenya. Guy and his wife Sophie and son Rufus, were the subject of Edward Hall's documentary Safari Strife.
