Kathy Strachan

Kathy trained at the Central, St Martin's London. Previous productions for Rough Magic include the Improbable Frequency (Best Costume Design Irish Times/ESB Irish Theatre Award) and New Morning, Hidden Charges, Halloween Night, Three Days of Rain, Dead Funny, Shiver and The Life of Galileo. Other theatre credits include: The Playboy of the Western World (Best Costume Design Irish Times/ESB Irish Theatre Award) Sharon's Grave (Best Costume Design Irish Times/ESB Irish Theatre Award), Sive, St. Patricks Day, Antigone, Cheapside, Belfry and The Summer House (Druid); The Doctor's Dilema (Abbey); The Mai, The Patriot Game, and Kitty O'Shea (Peacock); Speed-the-Plow (Project); The Shadow of a Gunman (Gate); The Silver Tassie and Playboy Of The Western World (Almeida); Macbeth (Nottingham Playhouse); The Innocents (Crucible, Sheffield); Richard  III, Frankenstein and No Man's Land (Citizen's Glasgow); Just Frank (Traverse); Dengang Na (Bergen) and The White Devil (Stavanger). Film and television credits include I Went Down, Saltwater, On The Nose, The Closer You Get, Vicious Circle, Bachelor's Walk, Don't Look Down, Spin the Bottle, Showbands and the Oscar winning Six Shooter. Kathy won the 2003 Irish Film and Television Award for Best Costume Design for her work on Spin the Bottle.
