Geoffrey Rush

Geoffrey started school at South girls and Infants in Toowoomba in 1957. His teacher was Mrs. Ramsey. He would like to thank Miss Hammond, Mr Mole, Mrs Early, Miss Statham, Miss Gaynon, Mrs Crossingham and Mr Miles for being particularly fabulous along the way. His first major school play was Charley's Aunt (1966) playing Jack Chesney.

For Company B, Geoffrey has acted in On Parliament Hill (1987), Les Enfants du Paradis (1988), The Diary of a Madman (1987, 92), Hamlet (1994), and The Alchemist (1996). He has directed Carols-by-Laserlight! (1985), Robyn Archer's Scandals of '85, Pearls Before Swine (1986), Pell-Mell (1986), The Popular Mechanicals (1987, '92), The Wolf's Banquet (1989), Popular Mechanicals 2 (1992) and Aristophanes' Frogs (1992).

When it was Nimrod, he acted in On Our Selection (1979), Clowneroonies! (1980) and Teeth and Smiles (1981). This building has been another great school. Mr. Armfield is a very good teacher.

In 1997 he went to a big speech night in Los Angeles and got a great prize for acting in Shine. Most recently he has filmed Quills in London playing the Marquis de Sade.
